The Earthlore Fellowship, a flagship initiative of the Archival and Research Project, is dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and professional development of indigenous musical traditions and artists in Kerala. Our core aim is to provide indigenous musicians with the opportunities and platforms to present themselves as professional artists on musical performance stages across India and globally, ensuring their invaluable cultural heritage gains the recognition it deserves. The program is supported by the Tata Trusts.

The 2025 batch of the Earthlore Fellowship is nearing the culmination of their intensive training. Over the past months, these 20 exceptionally talented fellows have immersed themselves in traditional and contemporary music, honing their skills in singing, instrumentation, songwriting, and performance. Their dedication and artistic growth have been truly remarkable, showcasing the vibrant and diverse musical traditions of our region.

To mark the successful completion of their fellowship and to provide these artists with a significant platform for professional exposure, we are planning to produce a grand musical performance that will showcase their collective talent and the rich indigenous music they represent. This performance is not merely a concert; it is a vital step in their professional journey, offering them invaluable stage experience, visibility to industry professionals and the public, and a powerful medium to share their unique cultural narratives.

This landmark production will centre on the compelling theme of the environment and climate change. The show will intricately weave together music, storytelling, theatre, and evocative visual elements, all drawn from the fellows' deep understanding of traditional knowledge, folklore, indigenous dance and song forms, and ancestral storytelling. Through their artistry, they will convey powerful messages about commitment to the environment, resilience, and the urgent need for action, reflecting perspectives deeply rooted in their communities' experiences.

To realise this ambitious and impactful production, we are raising additional funding (Rs 30,00,000), which is specifically required to cover expenses for this unique production, which became evident as a possible endeavour only as the fellows progressed significantly through their training over the last four months. centred on the compelling theme of the
